The two passionate, German street photographers Britta Kohl-Boas, based in Hamburg, and Anna Lisa Lohmann, living in London, DO like to talk. To you! Come and hear them raving about the special energy street photography can create when like-minded people get together.
After a short introduction to each other Britta and Anna would like to tell you why for them it’s sometimes more important to take a drink than a photo! Let them introduce you to the joy of being part of a collective/team and the power of boosting your motivation when joining a meet-up either of a small or a bigger group for a photo walk. Hear how the connecting energy of street photography brought Anna to showcase her work to a broader audience via the hub‚ Women in Street’ and how it catapulted Britta and her work to New York, learn about Anna’s confidence increasing wing(wo)man theory and why taking part in a workshop is always a good idea.

Anna Lisa Lohmann was born and raised in the 1980s in Germany, where she studied media & communications and politics. She financed her studies by working as a barista and writing articles for newspapers. She also worked half a year as a journalist in Spain. After having achieved the University degree Anna was eventually trained as a TV journalist at the German public broadcast NDR/ARD. Following this, she worked as a live reporter, author and filmmaker. In 2020 she moved to London/UK where she discovered her passion for street photography and became a member of the Royal Photographic Society. Anna was awarded third place in the Italian Street Photo Festival 2021 and was among the selected photographers at the Urban Photo Awards 2021. Shots of hers have been exhibited in England and Italy.
Anna Lisa Lohmann è nata e cresciuta negli anni '80 in Germania, dove ha studiato media, comunicazione e politica. Finanziò gli studi lavorando come barista e scrivendo articoli per giornali. Ha anche lavorato sei mesi come giornalista in Spagna. Dopo aver conseguito la laurea, Anna si è infine formata come giornalista televisiva presso la trasmissione pubblica tedesca NDR/ARD. In seguito, ha lavorato come giornalista dal vivo, autrice e regista. Nel 2020 si è trasferita a Londra/Regno Unito dove ha scoperto la sua passione per la street photography ed è diventata membro della Royal Photographic Society. Anna si è aggiudicata il terzo posto all'Italian Street Photo Festival 2021 ed è stata tra i fotografi selezionati agli Urban Photo Awards 2021. I suoi scatti sono stati esposti in Inghilterra e in Italia.
Britta Kohl-Boas I am a self-taught Hamburg-based street photographer. I like to be out and about in the streets, being a part of the crowd, involved and spontaneous rather than concentrated on technic and equipment. I capture in colours, because my reality is colourful. I am inspired by Vivian Maier, Alec Soath and Siegfried Hansen. I am member of Fotoclub Ahrensburg, street collective.hamburg, Masterclass 2021 of Andreas Herzau and Hamburg-ambassador of 24hoursorg. I organized the 24hours.org-Exhibition 2021 in Hamburg. My longtime Projekt is a documentary about Wilhelmsburg/Germany.
