We are excited to announce the results of the Money and Nostalgia Challenge. The top entries showcased in the Second Annual ProgresFestival are available at the link.

The strong emotions evoked by so many of the images proved our hunch that there was a connection between money and nostalgia. Although money is necessary, we can balance our materialistic desires with sentimental memories and creative ideas. The calendar is available for sale to anyone who requests it. However, please note that shipping costs can be high. Please display the Progressive calendar in your homes.

THE WINNERS

Congratulations to all the Winners, Honourable Mentions, and other participants in this inspiring venture. Winners receive a free copy of the relevant Money or Nostalgia calendar.

We have a small exhibition relating to this theme from 7 to 30 November 2023.

It was difficult to narrow down the finalists from a field of over 300 worldwide submissions to just 24 winning images for the calendars. We are grateful for the help of the 15 judges who assisted in this process.

Once again, congratulations to everyone involved.

The Jury/Spokesperson

Our Festival is not for profit. The goal is to discover and show images that are true testimonies of our time, without cultural stereotypes. Images that are not clichés. Images by photographers who document meaningful examples of life, stripped of all artifice. Images that awaken connections, provoke insights and inspire optimism too.

We turn to photographers who are actively involved in daily life - yet specifically pursue street photography, documentary photography, and photojournalism without distinction between professionals and non-professionals.

We appeal to all photographers with a soul, because this trait is the impetus for all important forms of artistic, political and social expression. And all serious photographers reflect this trinity in their craft.

The 24 winning photos will be exhibited in Autumn as well as printed in a calendar and PPH publication
