Mexico City, Day 3

Hi guys!

On day 3, our plan was to "do" Coyoacan, a beautiful neighborhood in the south of Mexico City. After getting the subway to just a few stops from the end of the line Google maps told us on which street corner a bus stop should be. However, there was no sign whatsoever. But some locals were standing there and they nodded their heads when we said "Frida Kahlo museum". A bumpy 15 minute ride later, with latino heavy metal thumping from large speakers we arrived at the museum. It turns out you need to book at least a week, better with two, in advance. Luckily our stay here is long and we could book some tickets for a few days before we go home.

Instead we went towards the centre of Coyoacan arriving first at the Mercado. This market is mostly food, with both sales of ingredients and small restaurants. Got some good shooting done there. Further south are two gardens with just a street to separate them. We also found an artisanal market where we had a look. Lunch was a bit funny for us. At 12.45 all they served was breakfast. But since Mexicans eat cooked food for breakfast it sort of became "lunchy" for us. But with some fruit, orange juice and tea included in the package with the chicken enchiladas. Some more strolling and then we made our way back to the hotel room for a late siesta. Dinner was just sharing a pizza grande a few blocks away.

Take care!
